I’m Colleen Egan, WA Labor’s Candidate for Thornlie at the State Election.
I grew up in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs and studied journalism at Curtin University.
During my 25-year journalism career, I told the stories of many marginalised people. I’m best known for my eight-year fight to free Andrew Mallard from prison, an innocent man who was wrongly convicted of murder.
As a working single mum with a mortgage, I understand the cost of living challenges faced by many working families trying to balance the family budget.
I’ll be a strong voice for Thornlie in the Cook Labor Government, working with Premier Roger Cook to do what’s right for WA.
